Too much auto-tuned music?

I actually like Indian music, and I had no problem with the amount of music being played in this movie. I think the music played an integral part to the movie, and the dancing was so beautiful. However, the biggest turn-off to me, big enough to where I had problems watching an otherwise enjoyable movie, was the unnecessary auto-tuning that was done. Granted I feel that way about anything, anywhere, about auto-tune.

It was so distracting, irritating, and unnecessary because, as is, the music was quite lovely. Oh how I wish they did the track without those nasty noises. It did not benefit the music, the sound, the production, the performance....it just made me squirm (like nails on a chalkboard!)

Can you elaborate? Are you referring to auto-tuned vocals? I don't recall there being many songs with vocals. The song they danced to at the wedding jumps to mind, and perhaps that was auto-tuned, but otherwise no I didn't notice much auto-tuning.

I don't have much familiarity with the auto-tuning of instrumental music, which I just learned is possible now via a quick web search. If that's what you're referring to, I wouldn't have even noticed.

Yep, you got it! Sometimes auto-tuning vocal sounds, not just words, comes out just as noise. There was also auto-tuned music, usually in the beginning of when the music was played. I'm thankful that it wasn't constant, but it was so distracting. The music was so pretty, that from my perspective it ruined it.

Everyone seems to be using auto tuning these days but I doubt the soundtrack was autotuned.

It's that man again!!
