Why do they keep wearing suits?
Isn't it warm? I don't believe that they are in suits without breaking into sweat!

Well, despite the summer temperatures in India, people in certain professions do wear suits. So it is not completely out of place to wear suits- as portrayed in this movie.
And some people can bear the heat despite what they are used to, while some may not.
The answer is simple - the environment is colonial British - stiff upper lip and all that. One always wears a suit don't you know, especially at the club or for dinner. Standards are important.
