They're GERMANS. Nazi is the political party they're associated with. Why the hell can't people use the proper article talking about Germans in WWII???

reply

Great point......I liked the TYPICAL psychotic german officer........even though they lost, the ww2 german military was as good as it gets.......

reply

Germans, Nazi's---same *beep* different shovels. In movies from the fifties and sixties, the word Nazi was used as a generic term for the average German soldier.

reply

The Germans had jeeps and American half tracks right after the battle of Kasserine Pass. I remember pictures, lots of our equipment being used by Rommel and the Africa Kops.

The Germans used a lot of confiscated enemy equipment during the whole war.
Many of these confiscated equipment got German official nomenclature.
For an example:
The Russian T-34 tank got the German nomenclature: Panzerkampfwagen T34-747(r)

It was also very common that front line units took enemy equipment in use due to own shortage.

The well known Tiger commander Otto Carius wrote in his book "Tigers In The Mud" of an incident when his company was without scout cars (Kübelwagen).
They more or less walked into a village where US troops had stopped for the night.
The American unit seems not to have understood the serious situation of the war because they had no centuries/guards outside.
The Germans took two JEEPs from them.
Easy done, because the vehicle did not use start key only start button.
The Americans must have been very surprised in the morning when they where missing two vehicles.
Lesson learned, I suppose.

This is a low budget movie so do not expect that they put money on rental of Kübelwagens or any other expensive original German equipment.
