wild card vote and fight

so they voted for the robot that got itself disqualified?

and well done the pyro sparks made it so we couldn't see the knockout blow

hmph

reply

Yeah. They should've let the remaining teams vote too.

And this proves it once & for all: this show IS rigged! The audience wasn't even there and they STILL had those damn sparks spewing out because the cameras were rolling...

no it doesn't

If the teams that were still in the tournament got to vote, it would have been to their benefit to vote for the weakest robots to get back in. That's why they weren't included in the vote - potential conflict of interest.

Not sure why so many people are hung up on the sparks. Clearly they are set off to indicate a good blow. But I would like to know if they are set off offstage or if they are triggered automatically within the robot itself by a heavy impact.

What was the deal when Brimstone looked like it "blew up" though? What happened there?

reply

they said they blow the pyro offstage.

the other team did get a good few directs blows, i think brimstone was started to collapse before it finally went.

reply

Regardless of when Brimstone started to collapse, what I'm asking is what was the source of the fireworks/explosion? It looked like a bunch of the packs of whatever makes the sparks all went off at once. I doubt that it was the actual workings of the robot exploding.

reply

Absolutely agree, the team that got disqualified for continuing to fight and inflict damage on the other bot after the round ended should not have even been eligible for the wild card. Cheating shouldn't be rewarded.
