High votes are coming from Harry Potter fans

It's a shame the votes are being skewed in an upwards direction by those aged under 18. Take them out and the vote would be more realistic and mediocre.

How do we knows its Harry Potter fans voting?

Look at the number of voters who are under 18. There are very few now, and there were when you copied and pasted the data above. Voters under 18 have very little impact on the overall rating.

reply

You're stupid aren't you? Even if they are Harry Potter fans, that would make them 18+ since Harry Potter has been out since the mid 1990's.

reply

I rest my case. Look at the figures and take out all those aged under 18 and those aged 18 to 29 (ie prime age for Harry Potter fans). Then you are left with an average mark of about 4.

'Aged 18-29

Males Aged 18-29

Females Aged 18-29

According to your figures, how can the average mark be under 4?

Its that man again!!

reply

Who said 'under 4'??
Methinks you do protest too much. Wonder why?

I said an average mark of 'about 4' - ok, having worked it out, it's 5.3 - which is a much closer mark to what this series (based on the opening episode) actually warrants.

reply

'Methinks you do protest too much. Wonder why? '

You got the mark wrong and blame me for protesting.

You must be a Harry Potter fan!

Its that man again!!

reply

18-29: 7.5
30-44: 5.6
45-99: 6.4
total votes: 112
Clearly it's the under 30s giving this rubbish high votes.

Can't wait for voting to open on UKIP: The First 100 Days (2015)!

I'm 55 and gave it a 4. I enjoyed Harry Potter but quite capable of judging Rowling's other work on its own merit. I enjoyed the book and so far like the TV adaptation. In my experience many Potter fans don't like TCV because of its adult content and lack of wizards.

reply

-shrugs- The first Episode was an oddity, but off the second episode I am really enjoying this and find it very much to be worth a 7 at the least. Don't even care much for harry potter.

::Stupid search engine...who'd even want to watch therapist porn?::

reply

Harry Potter fans will all be well over 18 by now.

reply

I'm 26 and Harry Potter came out when I was a kid so I'm not sure how you've come to that conclusion?

In all honesty I didn't want to like this because I think JK Rowling is a mediocre writer that gets way too much attention because of Harry Potter, but it's a superb adaptation and the best original drama the BBC have made for a while.

reply

I'm 51 and hardly a HP fan, only ever bothered watching the first film and never read the books.

I enjoyed this series and even felt quite upset at the ending of the last episode.

Don't just judge the worth of a programme by its IMDB rating because the majority of viewers probably don't even use the site...or a good number of them at least, if not the majority.
