Not a chance in hell that ex-fiances would be allowed to be partners. They would be emotionally compromised every time they went into a dangerous situation. More likely one of them would be transferred to another precinct.

True, but that means there is every chance of it happening on a Lifetime movie or almost any other TV cop show.

Agree this would not be the norm for them to work together. Although, I actually enjoyed this one.
