Prequel to 'The Woman' smh

Honestly, I have no clue when mental illness turns into cannibalism that fast, but somehow it did in this film. There was nothing about her past that would suggest that she'd one day turn into A feral mountain hag, just A schizo lol..

To get to my point, this seemed like it wanted to be the prequel to that 2011 film "the woman".. I know these two films aren't connected, but what do you guys think, as influences go?

The woman is one of my all time favorite films & it actually had a prequel called Offspring. I ended up coming across it after I had seen the woman. It shows the woman & her group living in the woods up on the coast of Maine & how they were killing families & kidnapping the children. I liked it a lot. It won the award for the film festival created by Bruce Campbell and Sam Raimi.
