Towering Inferno remake?
Is this just an Asian remake of the 70's classic disaster film 'The Towering Inferno'?

shareYep, another unoriginal idea ripped off .
You see a lot of these coming out of Asia nowadays.

Very true....being a Singaporean I see that (rip-offs and unoriginal ideas) everyday on our local TV.

I agree completely. I can't believe the amount of people on this board trying to crucify this movie for being similar to an American film when America continues to blatantly remake Asian films, and on top of that they're almost always terrible. At least this film did a good job--tons of character development and action. And people on here are actually saying the first 30 minutes should've been cut? Seriously? I'm an American and that's an absolute American mindset to cut out all the crucial development for some mindless action packed movie.

I think it looks pretty good and I'm a huge Towering Inferno fan.
You want a toe? I can get you a toe, believe me. There are ways, Dude.
Although your reply is months old by now, I'm also a TI fan. Loved that movie. Saw it first run in the theater and was mesmerized by it. Even though TI is dated I still like to watch it.
Thanks for the endorsement of this movie. I'll try to see it soon.
Just for fun guys!! Enjoy the remake in Korean!!
shareI was kinda excited at first until I watched the trailer. I guess foreign films have run out if ideas too and are remaking Hollywood classics.
What's next? Earthquake?
So what if it is a Towering Inferno? It is far better than that four hour yawn fest.
The Tower is very exciting and great special effects. If Americans remade Towering Inferno, they would have made it into a frigging love story (kinda like the original and Titanic) and not about survival as this Korean import does nicely. I am disappointed I watched it only on video and not on the big screen.
don't cry monty it's just a rip off, remake usually they pay for the rights but this i don't know..lol
