Good stuff Bobby! 

So, what did you think of the overall story and Emma Thompson's part in it all? 

Would yo recommend the movie to others? 

I actually did not recognise Emma Thompson and had no idea that it was her until the credits. 

I enjoyed it. He wasn't a bad guy was he, he accidentally found himself in the world of serial killing. His mother was the true killer.

I would recommend it to anyone with an interest in very bleak comedies and/or serial killers.

I was disappointed that Bible John never got a mention, what with his old haunt featuring so prominently in a serial killer story. Have you ever visited the Barrowland yourself? Does it look like that inside in real life? It's delightfully old fashioned, like a social club of the 60s/70s. 

I think keeping Bible John out of it was a good idea Bobby. Real women died and making light of that isn't for everyone's tastes.

The Barrowlands is a very hardworking building Bobby, it's interiors undergo many transformations during the course of a week. It's a large marketplace at the weekend during the day, a concert hall for DJs and bands some evenings and all kinds of hobbiests use it on alternate weekday nights. That part of the city used to be good for greasy spoons and hot doughnuts but it's starting to get a bit hoity-toity now with the Trongate taking in more histers and coffee houses, it's still good for a few years but I'm not sure what it will be like come 2020 and beyond 

I thought Emma Thompson did a great job and Bobby Carlyle had a steady hand as director too 

You're within spitting distance of McGann already, what a fast week that was! 

Yes I do suppose you're right there, it wouldn't be in good taste would it.

Very interesting indeed, so has it always been like that, a multi purpose building or was it once just a nightclub?

If I were you Juan I would campaign against any gentrification of that area. Places like that are becoming rarer and rarer these days. You can't beat donuts made fresh from the machine can you (and when I say fresh, I mean fresh...that very instant. NOT put in a bag and kept warm for minutes). Before you'll know it, there will be a Krispy Kreme or whatever instead and that's not good. 

You're quite right, I regenerate again tomorrow don't I. I'll be posting on the Politics board as McGann because he's quite a politically motivated guy isn't he.

As for Doctor Who, I'm thinking of abandoning the 2005 board for the Classic Who one. It's probably a more mature crowd there who will discuss Who with me. It makes sense too because I have plans to watch the classic series from the beginning, something that I keep meaning to do. I could review every story and that would be a real treat for the regulars. 

For all of my life it has been a multi purpose building Bobby. The weekend markets used to all be around that section of town but we've lost the Salt Market and the Fruit Market to trendy bars and we lost the Tobacco Market (Virginia Galleries) to Marks and Sparks performing an illegal upgrade to its facade 2 decades ago. Paddy's Market was made illegal and then sold off as an exhibition place for contemporary art and Goldbergs, and Arnotts and Frasers took away any local charming multifloored shopping centres of olde from us. Even Whatevery's disappeared and nobody even went into that one 

Sad times but that's progress I suppose.

I'm not home often enough to stop the attempts to modernise my city Bobby and so I can only encourage brave souls such as yourself to continue your efforts to keep it away from being turned into a mall type area with overpriced noodles and crappy delivered doughnuts which aren't even cooked on site 

Is McGann the political type? I only know of him through his works but if he is then it does seem like an apt board for you to be on 

I like your thinking with the Classic Who boards but will they accept Clara having been with the Doctor in some shape or form during all his incarnations? I'd assume they think that Moffat has emasculated him by putting the emphasis on her and not the Doctor. The only way to be sure, of course, is to suck it and see. I hope they welcome you, I see others flocking there with you though Bobby, happy to be away from those more spiteful elements of the Nu Who board.

Weekend markets are fantastic aren't they. My town still has plenty of these and weekday ones too thanks to my efforts.  The salt market sounds interesting, I sure would have loved to have visited there.

I'll try and campaign for you if I find time, but I seem to be forever kept busy by some new fangled thing being threatened upon my home town. I'll do my bestest, but I take great pride in my little town still kept as a window in to the simpler past. An oasis if you will.  If I can fit it in, I'll remember it as another project that I can do.

Oh yes indeed, he's always making political tweets. He lives for the politics. 

I think that they might do. They don't seem like an elitist bunch on there and I think that they accept nuWho happily existing side by side with the old. Some of the same posters are there from the nuWho board such as Paul Beardsley, but it's a better Paul Beardsley on there, a happier one. It's like a night shift on there where people can just relax more because the gaffer isn't there breathing down their necks. 

Proper weekend markets are fantastic Bobby. I don't mind those farmer's market ones but they are all too pretend posh and have ostrich burgers and vintage cheeses which mess up the flow of a real market.

A real market has a proper burger van that will make up any roll you want in any way you want and not charge you an arm and a leg for it (Although you might get food poisoning )

I think now that we've got Brexit Bobby we'll see a return to the good old days of street parties and buying locally. A happy Britain which is comprised of many peoples but who like to share and try each others cooking and listen to each others stories 

I keep forgetting you do the Tweeting thing. I really can't understand it myself Bobby but a lot of people swear by it and so perhaps I'm just not their target demographic. I hope McGann's fighting for markets and buying locally!

A happy Paul Beardsley? Now that is something I'll have to see 

I do love a market stall that sells different types of cheeses, but Wensleydale, Lancashire, stuff like that. You can't beat a nice bit of British Wensleydale with cranberry. 

Throw in a butchers that makes you fresh black pudding to eat now and I'm happy as it comes. 

It's great that some good things are coming out of Brexit. With any luck, our nation will look like an episode of Postman Pat again before long. 

Yes indeed, I'm at my happiest when I'm tweeting away about the latest big issue. I get an extra thrill when a Doctor Who star retweets something complimentary that I've said. That has happened only the one time and it was Jenna Coleman. 

You know..I think that I would like Barney Thomson to be my barber. Short back and sides is what I have done and I'm not a fan of chitter chatter in the barbers chair either. It's all are you going away anywhere this year or are you ready for Christmas blah blah blah.

I suppose I had better start REGENERATING then... 

Some nice fresh black pudding is always a treat Bobby 

I'm sure that the UK will be back to its old self in no time after this Brexit takes place.

Let's just hope that Europe can contain itself for a while before needing us to pop over and sort it all out (Again!).

Barney could be my barber, but not with the window seat. No self respecting Glaswegian male would sit at the window whilst having his hair cut 

Time for you to be the shortest, and longest, Doctor we've yet seen! 
