Can someone please explain the baby daddy situation to me?

I left in the middle of the movie to make popcorn and I think I missed something.

I always assumed that Leslie was just a random single mother but at the end of the movie it is clearly implied that Dale is the father of her baby. How can that be?

Did he happen to rape her the same time she was sleeping with multiple men so she just accepted the fact that she has no idea who the father is?

That seems to odd to me. I understand this happens in life. Mistakes are made. I am not judging her but I find it hard to believe she is so blaze about it.

Did I miss something? Was the father situation explained and I missed it?

I'm sure you leaving to get popcorn in the middle of the movie is exactly why you missed it LOL

There were a lot of hints.

1. When she was pregnant and talking to Sarah, she told Sarah that the baby has one of two fathers (both were specific ethnicities, not white)

2. Leslie seemed familiar with the issues that Sarah was reporting; namely the house smelling like cleaning products whenever she would come to from "episodes"

3. When Sarah saw Dale and was talking to him in the street, Leslie came over and noted that Dale used to deliver her groceries up until recently. She asked Dale why he stopped and he said because he doesn't like dogs. This implies, that whatever Dale was doing to Sarah, he was doing to Leslie before. The ending also gives you a better idea of how many women he victimized over all.

4. When the baby was delivered and white, Leslie had the light bulb moment especially when Sarah told her that her Husband was infertile.
