What's with the blue dress.... (SPOILER)

Why is Mr. Strange intent on buying a garment in Venice, when preparing to try to resurrect his wife?

I didn't understand this plot development. Does he think her burial clothes would be rotted away?

They made a statement that Strange doesn't like seeing Bella in black. When he buried her, she was wearing black. This is what I'm assuming was the point of buying the spring looking dress.

There was never any explanation for why Strange bought Flora the dress in Venice. I guess it didn't matter to the plot.

I think his assumption that she'd want to change out of her fairy outfit into some normal human clothes was correct. Wouldn't you?

Also, fairy gold has a tendency to vanish when the spell breaks, the same could easily be true of fairy ballgowns. Better not to be caught short.
