Was it another dimension...?

Correct me if I'm wrong but they said they went into a parallel dimension, right. I'm no fancy scientist, but I though a dimension was something different. Didn't they just go to a parallel universe?

Did they use the two terms interchangeably? Aren't they different concepts? Or was in a bit of both?

Another dimension would be time right, so that would account for the creatures popping up all over in the past (as seen in the other movies. I know it's a thin thread that loosely connects all movies, but I'm counting then in). But it seemed to me that physically the crew and the station went to another universe, where everything was slightly different.

What do you guys think?

Yeah, they went into a whole other reality that they had to get back from. There was also an additional ship from that dimension crewed by their alternate reality people. That ship crashed and those people are dead.

I'm trying to go for an entertaining, informative youtube channel so, if you have the time, take a look. Hope you enjoy what you see and if you have any thoughts or criticisms, i'd love to hear them. Thanks in advance. Review right here- https://youtu.be/hJYnJuDPdn0

it was a parallel universe but that typically requires crossing over some alternate dimension other then good old t, x, y, and z to get there.

Thanks. My mind kind off shuts off at the _alternative_ dimention so maybe that's what stumped me.
