For some reason neither of them have been listed on the official Mako Mermaids twitter feed of returning stars yet EVERYONE else has been AND they have two new actresses with at least one stated to be playing a mermaid...one is blonde and the other brunette sounds an awful lot like they've both been replaced but hoping I'm wrong.

shareWhen they were filming season 2 Lucy was in America filming the Vampire Academy don't know what happen to Ivy.
I don't think that's the reason Lucy isn't there, Vampire Academy was shoot in the summer according to its wiki page and it wasn't until December that the official Mako twitter said they will start shooting season two so it definitely had nothing to do with filming VA but maybe Lucy was too busy promoting VA to also shoot season 2.

I understand why Lucy is not coming back because of being in another project but why did they axe Ivy?
shareLiked the original series and the first season of this, but hearing that TWO if the cast is not returning really makes me not want to watch the next season. I really hate it when shows do this. Season 3 of the original series being a case in point. Liked it, but also seemed to be missing something due to the changeup with the main cast.
