Saw this information on YouTube's official Mako Mermaids channel Aeon world

There will be 16 episodes

A new Chinese Mermaid Weilan played by Linda Ngo

Newer characters

All characters from Season 2 and 3 will return, however Erik and finally Sirena will not be returning :(

Mimmi is getting a love interest played by Taylor Glockner

Finally, an unconfirmed character of H2O Just Add Water will participate on Mako Mermaids

Even on the video it shows Chai (Zac) talking to the new Chinese Mermaid Linda Ngo

Season 4 preview summary

Weillan, a teenage Chinese mermaid releases a terrifying water dragon. She flees to Mako for sanctuary but the dragon follows. When the creature threatens the Gold Coast, the mermaids must find a way to destroy the dragon before it creates a chaos

I'm excited for it, but shouldwe be worried that it sounds like H20's ill-fated third season? a glorious season followed by a magical creature that wrecks havoc? This season 2 (or 3 by Netflix) wrapped up PERFECTLY. I'm a little disappointed about Sirena leaving the show, but her story is pretty much played out at this point. Either way 2016 can't come soon enough!

Wonder who the H20 character will be then? I think its more likely to be one of the mermaids rather than one of the guys. Bella maybe? Cleo, Rikki and Emma all became mermaids together when they were around 16, but Bella became a mermaid alone as a child and obviously knows more about it and has maybe even seen other mermaids before Rikki and Cleo.

I just mean she is more mermaid than the others and would probably be accepted into the pod.

Season 4 (or actually season 3) is gonna be even worse than season 2. Unlike H2O, Mako Mermaids only continues to get worse every season. I haven't started on the second half of season 2 yet. I'm definitely gonna call it quits on the show if none of the original mermaids return. They should just pull the plug on the show. There's no need for it to continue. All the producers care about now is the money (It's just like Hollywood these days).

They should ended after Season 3, this sounds just like H2O season 3. They already accomplished what they set out to do in the first episode, to bring the pod back to Mako. I don't think the 4th season was part of the original plan

Any updates as to when Netflix will release it? Or will it wait until after Disney Channel airs the first three seasons?
