Just finished watching on Netflix and was it just the 16 episodes? Or is there more to come?

Anyway I did think it was good but everything in the final episode seemed very rushed. I also think Evie should have got her tail back after the dragon was destroyed.
Also think there could have been more scenes with Zac and Mimmi's mum and when he finally said he was going to tell his adoptive parents the truth.
Would have been good to see more of Rikki as well.

So what do you think?

I enjoyed it a lot. I thought it was better than the past seasons. I agree with you, it did feel a bit rushed within the last episode. As you wanted to see more scenes with zac, Mimi, and their mom together. Also, explaining the to the adoptive parents where zac really comes from. I'm not sure if this is the last season, cause at the end of the episode when they were in the moon pool. It seemed like there will be a spinoff with ondina and the new girl. Also with what Ricky said, maybe the old cast might come back for a reunion. Like guest appearances or something. Anyways, I think they have ideas to work with. Zac,Mimi story/going back to China with the other two mermaids/ Rickki reunion.

When the next season starts, I assume they'll pick up months later when Ondina and Weilan(if she comes back) return from China. I do think this was better plot wise then the past 2 seasons (S2 and S3 on Netflix) but I didn't like the 3 new character as much as I did Serena and Erik.

The writing is on the wall, it's a guaranteed 5th season and more to come.

i've gone over and over it on the site i use to watch the series (they only have 1 and 2 atm), and on wikipedia and stuff...how the heck can they be on a fourth season?? it is clearly up to 3...and unless they cut out some eps somewhere or someone miscounted the eps and divided up the seasons wrong...uhhhhh...dont see where 4 comes in. i would love to see a 4th season tho...maybe bring back the girls from season 1, get Evie her tail back (confession..did not see new season yet but i saw episode list..sorry), bring Sirena back and all. what would really give this show a boost would be a series soundtrack. i can think of a few eps and songs that would be awesome on it, and not only the ones Sirena sings. curious about one thing atm in the new season. for those of you who have seen it, do Zac's parents eventually learn that he is a natural merman and all? cant wait for new eps. night all :)

On Netflix in U.S. they split season 2 into two parts and called it seasons 2 and 3; so there are only three seasons in actuality but to Netflix viewers it appears there are four. As for Zac's parents learning the truth.. don't get your hopes up. Zac is barely featured in the new season, and the main focus is on the 3 mermaids instead.

He is featured, but takes the backseat as a supporting character this time around.

Personally, I found the new season to be a little disappointing. There are too many filler episodes (which can be good as breathers, but not six in a row as it was in the middle...) and too little drama and action, and WAY too much pointless romance. There were a couple of good episodes too, but when it was over, it didn't quite feel satisfying. That dragon storyline had potential, but I think they went the wrong way with it.

I actually liked how they had Evie lose her tail and still have it lost after they defeated the dragon. Since the show has started we have seen Zac received his tail (technically he already had one but the power was dormant), Cam get and lose his, Eric joining in, then finally Evie receiving hers. Not including the rush of new mermaids. It seemed most new characters were mermaids and then a originals received it so seeing people getting it left and right got old to me. In life, we can gain a gift or have one we have had for a while and suddenly lose it and have to live without it anymore much how like Evie is now. Well I assume the whole next season will have them connect together (unless months will pass inbetween seasons)and I hope they would lead off with him coming to his parents.

hm...i kinda see what you are saying. it does kinda suck tho..the tv industry, even if it is AU (sorry no disrespect...they have some awesome shows), once they get a good show goin they KNOW folks will love, they have to go screw it up. grrr...and i heard Zac is barely featured..that sucks. the best season was obviously the first, eps and intro and all (FYI...they tweaked that here in US, but i found it just hot when they showed him in the first intro, gettin up onto the dock). and Evie losing her tail...well i guess i shall have to watch the new season when i can online..to understand..but how does getting attacked by a water dragon cause her to lose it? as i said in earlier post tho...i heard Mimmi and Ondina basically screwed things up further by trying that stupid potion on Evie. just didnt learn their lesson from the time they werent successful with it on Zac huh?? totally understand why the tail thing would be upsetting to Evie tho...she was finally learning to embrace a new side of her to bond further with Zac and the girls, and become a whole new person, and then that got taken away from her. i hope they find a way to give it back tho...somehow. sure..she was annoying in season 1 or 2 (damn you netflix..splitters lol), but i think she maybe did have a good reason for being jealous. Zac and Cam were just that close which was probably why Cam was first person he told and not his parents or gf. but he should've trusted her enought that she would understand and think he was a freak. and the Lyla jealousy thing? well....those two basically bonded a lot out in the open and right in front of Evie, and that just caused him to backpedal more and hide things. but in the end if you think bout it, all that Z and E went thru probably just made em both stronger and they learned more about themselves and each other, and that is why they are still in love..or whatever. i woulda been cool with it if he was with Lyla instead, but eh...that was more doable than say Cam/Nixie. cute..but that ship has sailed. SHE woulda been better off if say, they did a jump in the future and she met say that boy she told she was a mermaid and he was older and they were a couple...only a 5 year age diff..make him 18 and her 23...very plausible. phew...sorry for such a longwinded message...but this is one cool series and gives me a lot to think bout...i LOVE MM :)

ty :) more than anything, i just wish the series wasn't over after this season. brace yself dear viewers for spoiler here...sorry...but i saw somewhere that the Homecoming ep was the end. i think we viewers should do one of a few things...start petition for season 4 (still dont know why the netflix control freaks split it lol), hope for a movie, or yet another spinoff. saw a pic of Zac's mom online, very pretty (looks Thai kinda like Chai himself with that georgeous skin, hair and eyes). hope his parents find out tho in the last ep.

I live in the US so no offense here. That happens here in the US (Heroes is a good example) where once they know an audience is hooked, they'll watch anything.

Not barely but less than the previous seasons. There really isn't a lot of plot importance with his character till the final few episodes. It was a disappointing how little brother sister moments there were in the season.

I agree. Partly because Nixie was my favorite mermaid. What about the scene was changed?

Even though it didn't work with Zac remember that he was actually born a merman so it's not possible to take away his powers that way were as Evie is still a human mermaid.
