Although some elements are there, the original story of Sons of Liberty has been completely changed! Where's Solid Snake? Where's Raiden? I'm very dissapointed that Kojima would approve this.

shareI couldn't find anywhere it said it was based on MGS....Sons of liberty existed in many forms before being used in the game. Just an observation. :)
