Age doesn't matter in casting. If you can play it, than you can play it.
I think the problem is the fact we saw Tia play a teenager 20 years ago on Sister Sister. If she was a relative newcomer without many child credits it would be easier to envision her playing a 25 year old step mom, despite her real age

shareI really don't understand the multiple posts on this topic. I find Tia to be a believable 25 year old. Just take a look at her first season of The Game when she was about that age(27 to be exact) and she looks pretty much the same. She's barely aged since then. Had Tia been a newcomer or an unknown I don't think this would be an issue but since we watched her grow up from a young teen I guess it's a hard pill for some to swallow. Besides, some people age differently. Look at Adle for example she just turned 26 and if I didn't know her actual age I'd guess a lot older. Lebron James is another in his 20s. 29 to be exact. 29 going on 40. He looks way older than his years. Sorry but Tia looks younger than the both of them.

shareWhere are you from? Go to any large metropolitan city and that's pretty much what professional 25 year olds dress like. It's not like they put her in mom jeans and a fanny pack. She looks pretty stylish to me. I work in NYC and this is my age group trust me the wardrobe people are on point.
