MarineLand in Ontario, Canada

I hope MarineLand starts hemorrhaging money like SeaWorld, and is eventually forced to shut down. Sadly, MarineLand is FAR WORSE than SeaWorld and nothing is being done about it.

They have 1 Orca left, because the others have died.

17 Belugas have died over the past couple years.

The Walrus/Sea Lion's are almost blind thanks to the chemicals used in the waters of the holding tank.

They have a 'bear pit' with 15 black bears, who are kept underfed so they can 'amusingly' beg for popcorn from tourists. These bears are so hungry they eat any new bears born into the community.

They have a 'deer park' with about 100 roaming deer you can feed, but once you get close to them you see how malnourished/full of tumors and sick they are. How does the owner deal with the sick deer? Gets the groundskeepers to shoot them, and not humanely either.

These trainers are still allowed to go into the water with the whales too...and I guess the belugas are taking a page from the orca handbook because just the other day a beluga disappeared under the water with one of the female trainers, and when she resurfaced the beluga wasn't letting go of her leg...which was in it's mouth.

If you feel any of the information I've just stated is anything other than factual, you can sadly Google everything and prepare for some disgusting results.

If either SeaWorld or MarineLand could properly take care of their animals, I wouldn't have as big an issue as I do, but it's blatantly clear that neither park is using their income towards the welfare of their money makers.

"Well...I've seen enough. Come on Charlie, we're going home."
