The discussion as to whether or not we should have dolphins, including orcas, in captivity will always be an important one, and how we care for them is an even more important conversation. But all Blackfish did was spread misinformation, which doesn't help anyone, it just makes for a good movie.

Blackfish is a propaganda piece. It's subject matter is important, but the way it presents itself is damaging to its own agenda. It is not taken seriously in wildlife professional circles and is extremely frustrating for those of us trying to actually improve animal welfare.
