Tedious

I'm not a speed freak and I dislike the trend of action movies becoming basically one long action scene, but this was easily the most tedious movie I've ever half-watched. At some point (and I'm not kidding) it got so frustrating that I actually decided to watch part of the movie at 200% speed to see if it was going anywhere, and it managed to be slow even at that speed. This movie is not just like watching paint dry, it's like watching paint dry in slow motion. For Ć’uck's sake, we get it, NOW GO FASTER!

Some people may love the minimalist look and "dream-like quality" (although that would be the most boring dream I've ever had or heard of), but combined with the ridiculously lengthy lingering shots, the absurdly slow transitions between scenes, and the repetitive dialogue, you are literally looking at almost nothing that manages to still be pretentious, for nearly two hours.

I absolutely agree. I don't mind slow paced films, atmospheric films, even experimental art films, but this was painful.

I gave it an hour, hoping against hope something would happen to make me care about anything that was happening on screen. The only concern I managed to dredge up for any character was worry that they, too, might die of boredom.

I don't need action or even a linear plot line to find a film entertaining, but there really should be SOMETHING. This has as much substance as watery oatmeal.

Movies are IQ tests; the IMDB boards are how people broadcast their score.

I love it, you watched it at 200% speed and it was still slow. I believe you. I ended up playing a game while waiting for the movie to become something or end. Thank goodness it finally ended. The photography was beautiful, but repetition a script does not make.

I keep reading your first paragraph and laughing. I enjoy it more than the movie by far!!! Thank you werecow2003!
