At the moment I type this, this movie has a 4.6 rating.
I enjoyed it. Acting was decent enough and at times pretty good. (Although I didn't like the whole DeNiro copying dude)
I liked the main character and the whole "wannabe" story... Although they should have worked out characters more, instead of wasting time on the love story.
Is this the best movie I ever seen? Hell no... Does it feels rushed a bit? Yes. But come on, doesn't deserve a 4.6 imo.

4.6 is a decent rating.
the movie was FAR to cliche.
every plot, every story, every character , every moment has been to death.
its like a montage of every mafia story, through in , best friend, girl friend, little brother, father and son plots etc.
sorry but this lies back in the mid 90's with young up and comers releasing films on the back of goodfellas straight to VHS. dime a dozen. but 30 years later.
nice try, they got keitel which was good though. but still..

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing...... I have seen a lot worse lately. If you are looking for a completely original storyline, then most movies they make at this time dont have this *beep* It is rare to find a film that is not copy-pasting anything...and this one was pretty decent, while I dont deny its flaws. So in my opinion, that 4.7 rating at this time is far too low, it should be at least 6, for the sake of all the crap that is out there.
shareI enjoyed it exactly one half of the way through. The moment he becomes 'made' and accepted into the mafia, the script and the leads acting and performance take a HUGE fumble.
I was pretty let down by this. It had the ingredients. But the final result turns out to be absolutely terrible.
It was a 6.5/10 in the first half. It then became a 4.5/10 during the second half.
Movie sucks,..boring, main guy has zero charisma or personality. B movie straight to video.
