White girl trapped in a black girl's body...
I'm a white girl and I have rhythm and can dance. No training needed. Learned it from my mom, who's also white. Lol
Not sure why people still say that. There are plenty of white girls who can dance.

Yeah they were joking , they didn't mean any malice by that.

I totally get that.
My point was, I've heard that saying lots before and I don't know why people say it. I'm sure every race has people that can't dance.
That's all. I wasn't upset by it.
people say it because most white people don't have rhythm to 'black people' music. And knowing how to dance is subjective...
sharewell you know how many stereo type sayings black people have to deal with all the time...get over it
share WTF are you talking about?
Hello seestra, nice to see you again.

This is a rather lame thread, however I do have a funny story to share.
I am black. I've twice been in a mixed night club situation but surrounded by white people that had me SMH.
1. The Electric Slide line dance comes on. I was in the middle and I was like Lord please rescue me from this mess. People banging into each other left and right and even though the Electric Slide is literally the easiest hip hop line dance known to man, it's impossible to do anything if everyone around you is screwing it all up. What's worse, the song goes on forever. It was a NIGHTMARE and I couldn't wait to run off that dance floor.
2. At another party scene, a country music line dance song comes on. Not realizing it, I wasn't that quick to leave, and before I knew it I was surrounded by super super fast line dancing all in unison and I was the only person standing there like an idiot who didn't know what the heck was going on. I was in the middle and I was like Lord please rescue me from this mess. It was a NIGHTMARE and I couldn't wait to run off that dance floor. And I was also a bit jealous. This happens anytime I am left out of a line dance basically.
That is funny! There is absolutely no excuse for anyone who can't follow the Electric Slide.
But country line dances? Some of them look so hard and complicated, I wish I knew someone who could teach me.

When I clicked on this thread I totally thought it was going to be an OT thread about Rachel Dolezal.
But then, she's a "black girl trapped in a WHITE GIRL's body," or so she says. ;-)
