Medical Physicians On Ratchet Reality Shows

Dr. Jackie is too classy to be on such a show. Dr. Simone has shown her hood side. I really believe that there is something not right with her marriage. She appears to be searching for something. I can't put my finger on it but something ain't right. Dr. Heavenly needs a dose of reality not from a tv show.

Dr. Simone is horrible. I have lost any bit of respect I had.

reply

I think that's why she is really upset next week. She knows she showed her behind.

did you watch this season ? simone/cecil's marital problems were addressed. she was charting at night and ignoring cecil. she switched billing company --against cecil's advice(he is an accountant for coca cola-- and just as cecil predicted there were huge dealys in her getting paid. simone talkedto the ladies and they encouraged her to stop neglecting cecil, do oral sex on him. she said no. she did have dinner on a golf course with him.

It may sound odd, but (regarding Dr. Simone) the, "something not right about her marriage," is that I think she might be gay. I haven't seen anything overtly obvious supporting as much, it's just a sense I've gotten from her since I first watched her. It would explain a lot of the difficulties she's experiencing in her marriage. I hope for her and her husband's sake that I'm wrong. That would be a really difficult, and painful, situation for them both. Just a really strong feeling I've always gotten from her.

reply

hula ??
what makes you think that.
i dont get that vibe at all.
what she is is stressed.

if you watched the show she ahs been neglecting her husb bc of work.
they were very loving in the couples weekend and in pics they shared from the 80s.

i dont see /feel a homosexual vibe at all.

i think if simone ate heathier, lost weight ,& toned
that would also help reinvigorate her marriage.

reply

True. I could be WAY OFF. Dont know why I got that feeling, just did. Crazy work schedules and being unhealthy & unfit can definitely cause major issues in a relationship. Maybe that's it. Hopefully that's it.

reply

Hula, I got that same vibe from Simone...that she could possibly be bisexual. I say that because she doesn't wanna have sex with her husband, when she does she says its boring. She doesn't wanna go down on her husband, and oddly she doesn't want her husband going down on her (what woman doesn't want that).
Plus I remember how she was saying how Quad was looking hot and sexy in her lingerie, she just seemed too excited about it.

(Plus, looking at vaginas all day may have her feeling some type of way...I'm just saying..)

Fresh- Interesting to hear that someone got the same vibe about Simone that I did! Maybe looking at hoohoos all day does do something to one's sexuality? But seriously, her disinterest in her husband and all things sexual is kind of strange. Unless there's some underlying emotional factor going on there. They do seem okay though, beside the sexual issue. It's kind of a shame ?it's too bad she can't just figure it out so she can adjust to life accordingly and be happy and fulfilled!

It's disappointing that sometimes when people do not like a black person a reality show or don't like their behavior, the person is reduced to being called "ratchet", "hood", "ghetto", etc., instead of people just discussing the behavior they don't like. I wish people did not classify blacks by negative, race-specific terms. What makes Simone "hood" -- getting loud and cursing? Does that make the Real Housewives of New York and Beverly Hills "hood" as well?

reply

I agree! It's only ratchet or hood if it's an angry black woman and it's simply not fair. Simone is educated, and appears to carry herself well, she's just no nonsense. Toya is the one living behind her means and getting into fights, she's also been arrested before. That sounds pretty ghetto fabulous to me!

reply

Tamra of the Orange County housewives is ratchet. Kim Zolciak of Atlanta is ratchet. Brandi Glanville of Beverly Hills is ratchet, hood, trailer parkish. Dr.Simone, in my humble opinion, displays behavior unbecoming of a highly intelligent woman, black, white, yellow, or plaid. Ratchet is synonymous with classless. Ghetto is indicative of unacceptable behavior which is indigenous of people from the worst sections of an urban area. Ghettos can easily be white especially when you consider that there are more Caucasians on public assistance. My use of the terms which offend you, i.e. ratchet or hood, refers to exhibited behavior not the color of the skin. Dr. Simone has displayed unacceptable behavior on several occasions thus her behavior can be classified as hood.

reply

Nobody calls whites "ghetto" though. That term is reserved for blacks in America and I resent it. Similar behavior is classified differently depending on the race of the person which is unfair.

I guess Blacks made it something not so appealing when they took over Harlem (originally Danish) and they let things slide and deteriorate! It then became something that was thought as bad!

You're serious?

I'm not even going to bother challenging your account of history because I'm convinced that, in addition to being a self-loathing misogynist, you're insane.

reply

That may be your limited experience, but ghettos go back to when the immigrants first started arriving in NY; Irish, Italian, and Danish communities could be considered a ghetto! It wasn't always pejorative! I guess Blacks made it something not so appealing when they took over Harlem (originally Danish) and they let things slide and deteriorate! Fk you racist piece of sht.

I have lived in urban areas all my life and in northern cities and there are ghettos inhabited by WHITE and HISPANIC persons and we refer to their behavior as ghetto when they display unacceptable behavior. There is a difference between being ghetto and being intellectually bankrupt. Granted on a global level, ghetto whites are referred as "poor white trash". Exposure is the key in determining who portrays ghetto behavior. Dr. Simone did not portray herself in a dignified manner. I am done with this topic.

Indigenous? WHAT? Are you serious? I don't know where you got that from but you're mistaken.

People were pushed and dumped into ghettos (you know, like refugees from Nazi Germany or Blacks migrating from the Jim Crow South) or "settlements" (i.e., Indian reservations). Despite various types of adversity, many inhabitants of these poor communities were industrious, hardworking, and many rich elements from their culture have been woven into the fabric of America.

If I stepped on some toes, I do apologize but I stand by everything I said. You will never be free until you stop wearing the color of your skin on your shoulder. Dr. Simone is ratchet, hood, and ghetto which speaks to her behavior NOT the color of her skin. Everything that occurs in life is not based on the color of one's skin. If my opinion does not fall in line with yours I would like to think that we could have a healthy intellectual exchange devoid of sarcasm yet ending in mutual respect. In the meantime brush up on the aftermath of landing on Ellis Island. Que le vaya bien mis amigos!

reply

Agreed.

I've noticed the OP tends to use these terms frequently to describe Black people.
