Ridiculous.....

SPOILER ALERT!

Apart from the fact the twist could be seen a mile off, there were so many plot holes it was ridiculous. When she found the boy, just tell the police, simples. I could go on and on, but I can't be arsed.

Shame, because I like Shannon and Morton...what were they thinking?

reply

Yeah, she could have even skipped the "adults don't believe the children" movie cliche by anonymously mailing a note to the police/FBI.

Anyway, I watched it more for the acting, as the cast was pretty top notch.

reply

i could have bought this a little more if they'd given a backstory of fantastic stories, or just plain lying... no such backstory, maybe on the cutting room floor.
Further, the opening scene, having nothing to do with the rest of the movie really, it seemed odd, and disjointed.

reply

I disagree about the opening scene. With the title of the movie and mom being a surgeon (shown in the opening scenes) I knew someone was getting some organs stolen (harvested.)

reply

Yeah, and that's one of the points. They ruined the film from the get-go. Let's just give it all away!!!!!

reply

Yeh I was wondering that too. No cops? And theprint out was confusing.. why didn't Grandpa give it a read?

reply

Not making an excuse for the movie but in real life I always wondered why people would not step in or call the police or do something. My wife was telling about some guys who got into the disabled compartment on the train and beat up a couple of people and then pulled the emergency brake and then ran off.. The others did nothing. So many instances of such things. But then again I seen people I know do things they should not and I never did anything. I seen those I dont know do things and I never did anything. The few times I tried to do anything I got into trouble for it. So guess I can understand why others would ignore most anything that happens around them no matter what. Unless there is a huge group of people who do something because someone decided to do something about it, but there has to be someone.. That is not very common. We can sit here and say a lot of things.. In real life there are complications.

reply

The director is totally to blame...well, and the writer - this apparently is his first script.

reply

David, you so did not know the twist. Such BS! Hahaha!

reply

You didn't know the twist? Seriously? The title of the movie was the harvest. Geez.

reply

LOL....you been drinking and smoking?! :o) Re-read my message...yes I did see the twist a mile off!!

Thank the Lord it wasn't just me. What little kid goes around looking in random windows? She just happens upon his window? How does the Mom know where Maryann lives? Even the way Maryann finds the second kid is ridiculous. She goes in and out of the window all the time but that time for no reason she goes to the front door? Why would her grandparents not believe her? She isn't a troubled kid who lies all the time. Even if they did ignore her why not tell a teacher. They have to report it. The freaking Dad. No man that meek is going to cheat on his wife. He also doesn't think that crazy ass would stick a syringe in his neck? Why would you keep the kidnapped kid upstairs and your son downstairs? Why bother teaching the host body like a real kid. Why homeschool him? Why does the Dad kill his son and burn the house down? Since fake Andy got away the cops are going to come to your house and possibly save him and arrest the Mom. Just kill yourself. Also those two wouldn't be on different baseball teams at the end. Wtf? Arrrrgggghhhh.

reply

The one that got to me was. What the hell are you going to do with his body? The morgue would've been 'wow this kid been hacked the fark up'.
