Mary

I love her loyalty to Abe, and the way she defied Richard and tried to deflect the evidence against Abe by accusing his father.
(She came close to succeeding too).

I think Mary would sacrifice everyone in Setauket (except Thomas) to save her husband.

reply

Yes. I love how her character has developed. At first I didn't care much for her but she has proven to be an intelligent, strong woman while also being fiercely loyal to her husband and son.

reply

I can't tell if Richard sent Dejon or if he went because of Mary's testimony. I'd like to think Richard knew she would reveal that information and so called her. During the trial I kept thinking "like father like son".

I do like how her character has developed.

It's too far for him to have traveled simply because of Mary's testimony. It DID help the outcome of events though.

Abe's dad sent him - that's why he had like a twenty page closing comments. He was playing for time because he knew the British were coming to kick Simcoe's ass.

reply

Agreed, Mary has grown as a character and she is more interesting since Season 1. She has also proven to be stronger and more intelligent than she lets on.

I like how she shot Simcoe's ear off and stabbed that ranger to death. Plus she knows how to *beep*.
