Simcoe as compared to....

Thor Gundersen on Hell on Wheels. They are so despicably alike, even to point of resemblance. Did this occur to others?

reply

Yes!!!! The resemblance is uncanny that I had to look up the actor to be sure.

At least with the Swede I always wanted to see what he was up to next. With Simcoe, I just want him to die or at least lose his voice.

Absolutely, my wife asked "who does he remind you of?" Didn't take a second to concur with her unstated observation. Like the Swede, his "cheery malevolence" is sort of engaging.
And Angus MacFayden (as Rogers) seems to be channelling a character I have not yet identified, but every once in a while when he speaks, I am caught hearing someone else. (And yes, I know he was Robert the Bruce in BH) But then, maybe it's just that Scottish accent, overall.

It just hit me. There are times when Rogers speaks, I hear Quint from Jaws!
