Is it odd that Turn has so many actors rumored to be gay?

Extremely rumored to be gay or bi:
* Jamie Bell (Abraham Woodhull) - despite short marriage to E. R. Wood and a son with her, gay rumors persist
* Seth Numrich (Ben Talmadge) - romantically linked to Sebastian Stan
* Burn Gorman (Major Hewlett) - romantically linked to John Barrowman
* Daniel Henshall (Caleb Brewster)
* Samuel Roukin (Lt. Simcoe)
* Aldis Hodge (Jordan)

Confirmed gay:
* Nick Westrate (Robert Townsend)
* Jamie Harris (Will Robeson)

I don't have anything against it, far from it, but I find it a bit of a perfect storm of cast members who are the object of such extreme speculation. What gives? Did they all meet on peoplethinkimgay.com or something?

Burn Gorman has been married for years. WAY before he ever did Touchwood.

One does not preclude the other -- being married does not preclude being gay or bi -- and Burn Gorman's being married certainly has not stopped an exceeding amount of speculation about his sexuality or reports that he was caught in flagrante delicto with Barrowman on the set of Torchwood.

By the way, I'm not even suggesting Burn Gorman actually is gay or bi, just that he's been the object of a tremendous number of rumors that he is.

Major Hewlett definitely looks gay. Is Tywin/Charles Dance from Game of Thrones, gay? I know he has a family and all, but.....

I have a celebrity crush on Seth Numrich, so I was on this immediately, haha. Seth starred as a fabulous gay character in "Private Romeo," but gay media sources I saw admit he is not gay.

Currently, for example, he has a girlfriend; she was included in his "Tiny House" segment, along with his parents, filmed in Ashland, Virginia, while on location for TURN. They are all adorable.

I think most actors are rumored to be gay. Go to any actor's website and you'll find a thread speculating about it.
But what does it matter anyway?

It clearly does; gay news sites are always as interested as anyone. I personally would not say they or anyone else shouldn't be.

To be fair, a lot of actors ARE gay. But yeah, just about every actor is rumored to be gay. I'm sure one or two thespians in the world are straight. Maybe 3 or 4.

No gay love for Angus? He'd be a great fuzzy bear, Scottish and slightly demented, but I don't think he's gay. Don't want to start any rumors ;)
