Great TV marred by 1 thing.

Historical inaccuracy. Too glaring to ignore. Really too bad. It's still good and I still watch it. The costumes and setting alone are worth it. But it falls far short of what it could be.

Granted I do not expect any "historical" drama to be 100% accurate, and of course Hollywood takes a lot of liberties with events and little details to tell a good story. People's appearances, ages, ways of speaking and the like have been sanitized so to speak.

Specifically what areas of historical inaccuracy do you mean?

I disagree. Even though not every historical drama can be 100% accurate, Turn does pretty good. What exactly did you find inaccurate?

reply

Only thing that bugged me was the subscribe (though it had a cool design).

I understand your frustration; I stopped watching "The Tudors" halfway because of the mountain of inaccuracies. I felt if the producers thought Henry VIII was provocative enough to tell his story, some semblance of reality should be be woven throughout the series.

So far I've enjoyed "TURN" and whenever "Hollywoodisms crop up, it helps to keep in mind that this is historical drama and not a documentary. "The Tudors" was neither, it was so laughable, I think of it as a spoof ;-)

Cheers!
