Disappointed With Robert Rogers

Was disappointed by the portrayal of Robert Rogers. I read he did have some drinking problems, but I didn't know he was also out of shape. I took a course in college and read quite a bit about how his history rules or lessons are still taught to modern day troops. Was the French and Indian War what he was most known for? And while I did read passages of him from books, I never read an entire book of the man, so could someone recommend a good biography on him?
