It's a better balance this season. Cameron is still the same spoiled, selfish bitch she's always been. But there's much more Joe, Gordon, and Boz than in season 2. There are also a couple of interesting new characters added in this season. I'm enjoying it very much, and I highly recommend it. :)
Lots of Cameron drama, but it seems to be better structured, as it leads somewhere. When in the second season all drama was there for its own sake while the show essentially ran circles, the third season is back to the first seasons habit of building up things and then cash in on them in big payoffs, creating interesting new constellations and alliances, while avoiding to have random elements with no purpose thrown into the mix other than to have little signature moments. You will hate Cameron even more, but the show will allow you to do it.
The tech storylines are probably on the same level as well: The experts in the forum laugh their asses off, but compared to the average tv show with graphical interfaces and fantasy technology it has an aura of plausibility. The motivations are technical enough to make sense, but not too technical to end up being too complicated.
Focus is more on the money in the industry(which makes sense in silicon valley) than on the competing garage businesses and their nifty ideas.
