How did they get her out of the country?

Last time I traveled internationally, I got in trouble for having a peanut butter sandwich in my backpack and they said that peanut butter is "too much like a liquid" so I got held up like crazy. How in the world do you transport a human from New York to Bulgaria like it's no big deal? Especially seeing as this wasn't some huge smuggling operation, it was just a group of dimwits stumbling around. Is it really that easy for anyone to smuggle anything out of the country? I would've thought it would be much harder.

Private plane

I think that cop would've helped her. He seemed to feel some guilt for giving her such a hard time when she went to him for help so I bet he would've pulled some strings to get her out before the crimes were discovered by someone else.

The government is in cold storage at Roswell. Aliens are running Washington.

The poster is talking about getting her from NY to Bulgaria, not the other way around.

I wondered the same thing. Seemed really odd that they managed to get her out of the country so easily given how uptight security is nowadays especially in N.Y. Even if they had a private plane it would still be subject to security checks and cargo screening before leaving the country.

Of course they clearly had money so they could conceivably have paid off the right people to get past security and customs.

Honestly I came here to start this subject, but I've noticed.....we can all say it's just a "movie".

But why would they go to such troubles just to kill her?

reply

Sadistic.

reply

Could just do it in the US

reply

Having her transported from the US to Bulgaria was the most unbelievable part of the story.

It's possible that they were part of a larger sex-trafficking ring that was handling the recruitment side of things. Modelling scams is just one way of grabbing someone. They probably used a route or resources that their partners had already setup.

It would also explain the murders because having escaped and gone to the police and then screwing up again by not killing her would make it look like their partners made an example of them.

If it was just human trafficking going on, why was she being brutalized, then left for dead in a deep hole? Why go to all that trouble? 

They were probably part of a huge crime syndicate. Probably specialising in sex/human trafficking.
