Anyone agree?

I really think the rape/attack experience was much worse in the sequel than the first movie, but I think the torture scenes/methods were worse in the first.

I'm referring to the unrated versions.

Anyone agree?
Do guys like "the thing"?
They like it better than no thing.

reply

Definitely agree.

SPOILERS AHEAD

The part where she gets her genitalia electrocuted, and is bleeding out after that fat slimebag raped her was just horrific. The rape in the first movie though, when that cop anally penetrates the girl in that bushland area was pretty bad.

Overall, the first movie was much better with the revenge kills.

reply

Indeed it was worse.

reply

Nope, I think the methods of revenge in the sequel were worse.

What is an ocean, but a multitude of drops ?

reply

Yup
Was looking for a thread to this effect
Rape was more graphic
Revenge kills were not as brutal and calculated as the first film or the reboot

reply

The "final torture" was surely one of the top 3 most difficult scenes I've ever sat through. Also this movie IMO might be the best revenge movie I've ever seen as well. Bravo.

I felt like I was gonna be sick watching the rape scenes earlier in the picture,
and then again the revenge scenes toward the end. I think what makes me most
upset with films like this one, is that I know from studying history, and also\
from things I've studied in modern times, that these kinds of things go on all the time all over the world. Especially, the earlier scenes. Most people don't
get revenge, because they're just not evil like the perpetrators who attacked THEM. They just try to get on with their lives and stay away from people like that. Don't worry, though folks, the odds on actually having any of these things happen to the vast majority of us are extremely slim. Thank goodness. Maybe these pix help show us how lucky most of us really are.

I admit I can't watch the rape scenes of either movie all the way through. I think both movies had a few lame deaths (drowning in a toilet) but I couldn't believe the seqel actually showed the crushing of the genitals. And that guy being cut and his wounds becoming infected? That was rather genius.

1. BVS 2. TWS 3. Avenger

reply

Agreed. The second seemed way more intense than the first and really captured the hopelessness and defeat of the victim. Going into the second act, it went downhill. The continuous fade out scenes got old really fast, and the whole priest side-story really served no purpose. Of the torture scenes, I'm just wondering how this girl who weighed in at no more than 115lbs tops could drag those dudes to the torture chambers, especially the fat guy.

reply

oh for fxcks sake. its not that hard to drag a body, even a heavy one. if you are determined, you will do it. lifting it is another story, but she didn't have to lift the fat guy high so im sure she would have managed.

reply

I don't think you have ever drug a limp body your own weight or know how physics works.

reply

...says the fat guy.

Yeah i found this movie to be quite the most disturbing of the trilogy - probably because of the fact it was set in Eastern Europe like Hostel.

Being in unfamiliar territory , with a foreign language its actually quite scary!
And besides Hostel is actually based on fact - i have lived and worked in Eastern Europe and some of the stuff that goes on...well...lets just say Hostel is not as far from reality as you might imagine!

reply

I don't know. I think that first one's rape scenes stuck with me for years. I mean but that electrocution scene was pretty bad. But I forgot about it for awhile pretty quick.

I wonder if theyll read this & say that awkward moment when I wasted my life readin a signature. :\
