Jennifer Hudson in 3 movies this year?

Amazing. And good for her.

I hope her performance is better in the other two because I thought she was terrible in this. The bad wig, her distant acting, the whole thing just didn't do it for me. I was really disappointed.

I thought she started off slow, but by the end was totally committed to the character. Especially the scene where the girl comes over whose helping her with her case.

Jennifer's definitely come a long way, and doing a heck of a lot better in these acting roles. And it seems she's been accepted in that community because she does have two more movies coming out this year.

Also I think there are good reviews of Winnie. That's to come out this year as well with her and Terrence Howard.

The wig has nothing to do with how good or bad she is/was in the movie. Personally I liked her though.

I appreciate both your opinions. I'm glad you enjoyed her. Like I said I was disappointed I didn't. I was hoping to be much more moved for a PTSD story. I just didn't find her convincing. As for the wig, it was pretty distracting for me which is why I commented on it. I didn't say it affected her acting, just explaining part of why I didn't like her segment. For the record, bad wigs distract me in every show I see them in. Patricia Heaton's bugs me as well in The Middle.

This wasn't ptsd this was rape. And the army didn't want to face up to that. They just want to lock her up and throw away the key. I think she did a great job for a woman who's been raped

And yet she's *still* not an actress. She was terrible in this, from the first screen to the last. She couldn't even give a convincing performance when she just had to pretend to see her kids again after a long absence so the rest was waaaaay above her level.

Too bad they couldn't keep the level of acting from the other segments.
