This is a show about a dead family.

Kind if hard to look past. Whenever my kid watches it all i can think about is how this is a father and two young children who died somehow, possibly in the home since its there they're haunting (carbon monoxide poisoning maybe? A mass murder?) and the mom isn't there. Did she survive the tragedy? Was she responsible for their murder? And being a ghost is a generally miserable existence. Why can't they move on? What's keeping them tethered to the living world and their house? What kind of sad, unfinished business do they have?

Since the plots are boring baby stuff all I do is sit there thinking morbid thoughts about this children's show. Keeps it a little more interesting.

I've never seen this, I just saw a commercial for it on TV and I looked it up. I agree with you though, I would be thinking that the whole time as well. Kinda weird.

I totally agree...I've never seen it myself, but saw the commercial and thought the same thing. I came here to see if it says how they died (it struck me as odd to see this as a children's show...I mean, dead children...?).

At least the 1995 movie mentioned how Casper died, but this series gives us no resolution. It probably won't be revealed how they died until the end of the series or they do one of those "very special episodes"

maybe they were born ghosts? all three of them? and the mother is...oh who am i kidding? HOW DID THEY DIE? IT'S A PROBLEM THAT THEY DON'T TELL US WHY AND HOW THEY'RE GHOSTS! HOW DID THEY DIE???
