Unique and original

I must say, I am fascinated by the history of the Baltic states through the 20th century. They had such a turbulent time, first assimilated by one dictatorship, then by the other - and yet, they somehow survived in the end. If there was ever a Phoenix story on three states, they would be it.

I think the movie was lovely and original, though hermetic - since it consists almost entirerly off still images and the camera moving around them, but you will need to see the movie several times to appreciate it.
