ANOTHER CRAP-FEST FROM JACK TAYLOR

From the very first episode, it was just one cringeworthy performance after the other. It's as if they wanted every stereotypical Irish storyline and tainted the entire series with it.

Let's begin with Jack - the throaty, flowery way he spoke, the drunk, the womanizer, the former Garda, familiar with the great Irish poets, writers and musicians. Seriously, all they left out was making his father a leprechaun.

General dialogue - Ok, we know Ireland is a Catholic country. But enough of the Jesus, Mary and Joseph lines. Every other expression is Jeh-sus!

Then you have the priest who ends up being a pathetic coward - sworn to the Catholic church - yet witnesses a rape of a woman and attempted rape of children, but still does nothing.

You have the publican, the landlady, the damsels in distress, and all other cast of strange characters.

Lastly, the plots. First is the criminal Garda, bad parents, Magdalene laundry, perverted priests, the tinkers... I mean, is that all these is to Ireland.

I love UK/European crime dramas, but this was pure shït! Lacked imagination and was more annoying than entertaining.

The hard drinking, hard fighting, hard living Jack always seems to pull the ladies even if he has not got a cent to his name.

It's that man again!!
