There never was a Finn & Poe. They were as much friends as Luke and Han, Jango and Boba, Vader and Palpatine. The lgbtbbq community only saw what they wanted to see.

Gay people comprise around 2% of the population, according to the last census. The 2020 one will certainly reveal a larger percentage. But, any group is absolutely desperate to have people pay endless attention to them, regardless of race, gender, religion, etc.
