Looks rather awesome , visuals are stunning.

reply

Good to know, thanks Kathleen.

reply

So you dont think some of the visuals looking good ? Or are you also brain washed into automatically thinking this is going to be bad BeCaUse i fOlloW tHe hAtErs bEcAuSe iTs cOoL

reply

I strongly suspect it's going to be bad because I can look at the track record of the last two films, and I can also see that the same executive team responsible is still in place.

If your wife's hot, but is also a stupid whore, there's a good chance it's not going to end well for you.

Seriously, it's not that hard.

reply

TFA was good , TLJ not so , i have high hopes this will be decent

liar

I thought so too, but I think you really need that middle part to pull everything together.

Rian Johnson failed in what he needed to achieve in the middle of a trilogy.

You have to further develop the main characters, get people invested in them. Empire did that in leaps and bounds, and by "Return of the Jedi", the audience was head over heels in love with Han, Luke, Leia, Vader, 3P0, R2, ect. Their action figures were in almost every kids' hands. People could not wait for the final confrontation with Luke, Vader, and Palpatine.

Can anyone honestly say they feel the same way about Rey, Finn, Poe, Kylo? Really doesn't feel that way.

I hoped JJ would come back and pull it off, but I'm not going to hold my breath. I think the damage that has been done is too much to overcome.

reply

The house is falling apart, the interior is covered in shit, and family heirlooms are strewn around in shattered pieces... but hey it has a nice paint job.

Oh, you don't like shit and broken things? What, are you brainwashed? Look at how nice the paint job is!

reply

Wtf are you rambling on about

reply

A very simple metaphor that apparently went right over your head, which I guess is exactly what I should have expected.

reply

Haha look at you getting all wound up because people are looking forward to TROS, hehe.

reply

Is that your go-to after being revealed as a dumbass, just claim out of nowhere that someone is getting "wound up"? Like a totally random "umad bro"? Yikes. You must use that a lot I bet.

reply

Best not to feed the troll

reply

Troll?? dude i posted a thread saying how i like the visuals and get spammed by the village idiots , can one not share an opinion these days ? do i have to get in line with the hate crowd?

reply

What ever you say boomer, enjoy.

reply

What ever you say troll, enjoy.

reply

Make a thread commenting on the visuals and im the troll?

reply

"Haha look at you getting all wound up because people are calling you a troll, hehe."

reply

Well i am called furiousstyles, im always wound up.

reply

Jesus! Relax dude, most of us are just here to have fun, and that should include YOU.

I saw ANH when I was 11, 1st Release, at the Drive-In - so I'm OLD.

If you still enjoy it, I think that's great.

It's just amazing to me that I lived long enough to see that they did this with f'in STAR WARS!

reply

k

reply

. . . was directed at 'furioso', you good.

reply

I see now - the bg color of the responses made it confusing.

So sad. A last look at my childhood friends... Poe, Ray, Finn...
I shed a tear.

reply

[deleted]

Ahh...the mighty Rose Chicken Tikko! How could I forget.

reply

Space horses kill any enthusiasm left.

reply

Ya they dropped the ball right there, it should of been Pink Space Unicorns!

reply

Totally agree. I was almost thinking of seeing it on opening night until I saw the horses. Now I’ll wait for the user reviews.

reply

"Pink fluffy space horses, dancing on spaaaceships"... LOL.

reply

Think of the toys they could sell! amirite?

reply

Every Disney Princess needs her horsey moment, also ties-in with her trying to 'tame the misunderstood bad-boy' subplot.

reply

I think the horses are a nice touch. The original Star Wars was very much in the tradition of classic westerns, so seeing our heroes riding into the fray that way offers a subtle bit of homage that I find nice. What about their presence bothers you?

reply

I don't get it either. What's so unusual about a bunch of horsies galloping along on the wing of a starship destroyer...? And if they had people eating on outdoor tables on the wing as well to watch them and cheer them on as they went by that would have been even better !

reply

filmbuff, just ignore them , doesn't matter how these movies would of turned out , even if Lucas made them, fecking Scorsese , Hitchcock who ever, they were always going to hate it and nit pick believe you me and its not even been fecking released yet.

Not a fan of TLJ , but i dont spend days on end bashing it and it wont stop me looking forward to TROS.

reply

I realize that, but it's odd they single out something as innocuous, and clever, as the horses. Go figure.

reply

The nit picking will intensify as more tv spots are released.

reply

I disliked seeing the horses in the trailer as it reminds me of Finn and Rose riding those horse things in The Last Jedi. We all know how that went.

reply

Space horses are fucking insufferable

reply

Superb. Getting more and more hyped for this.

(To hell with the broken record detractors)

reply

TLJ looked good too. Visuals aren't the problem, the story is.

reply

Was just commenting on the visuals that was all , not the story

reply

I agree that the visuals are impressive. The only visual effect I haven't liked in the sequels is Kylo's lightsaber. The crossguard is ok, but I don't like the jagged appearance of the blade edge.
