Should Di$ney be Scared After Dark Phoenix Flopped ?

We may have a Justice League/Dark Phoenix situation after TLJ

Well, DP was stillborn really. Knew it sucked just from the trailer. So if it was no surprise to me, you can bet cash money it was no surprise to Disney. I don't think it really reflects on SW anyway - different franchise.

It depends on whether they'll be able to cut costs.

The golden goose era is done. And they don't seem to be able to launch a new one. Marvel movies has become politicized. Diversity seriously damaged the Star Wars franchise, it seriously damaged Marvel comics, so it's easy to predict what will happen with the movies.

They will make money, but much less. If they're able to cut costs to adapt, they shouldn't be scared at all. If they enter some self-denial state (and that could happen)... then, we'll see...

I’m not hearing anything but my dog lost its mind right now.

Yes. Movie goers have finally stopped supporting bad movies simply because it's the latest addition to a beloved fandom. Lots of new movies are under-performing cause the people have had enough.

This wasn't a Marvel Studios property. Why would they be scared of something they didn't make. There hasn't been a connection to the MCU like Spider-Man's so I'm gonna guess they're gonna re-image the team via another reboot.

I thought people wanted Abrams back?

Well, they are so big and have so many divisions and departments that make money I'd say no but it could be that two of their money making giants could be on the decline. I don't know about X-Men, is that part of Marvel? If so, Marvel has made so much money they could probably withstand multiple flops.
Star Wars is probably more on the decline because there aren't 10 different characters they can make movies about. Thor flops....Spiderman is a hit, Captain America is so-so...Avengers is a smash, type of a thing.

They've lost me as a Star Wars viewer. I didn't go to Solo and I'll never see another Star Wars film.
