Luke being dead all along and applying his abilities through Rey and that's why she's so strong and he manifests his presence on that island to continue to train her and guide her to the jedi texts would actually be a twist I could really get behind.

also why does Luke need to be alive in EP 9? that doesn't make sense. he died in one movie (TLJ) then he came back to alive and gets kill him off again in the next movie. (TROS) that doesn't make sense. that would make Luke's story weird and confusing.
