Hype was over before it began.

Star Wars is dead to me as well. Unless, by some miracle, they officially decanonise the Sequel Trilogy. But I sincerely doubt that will happen.

SW was dead after Lucas sold the entire franchise to Disney. These movies are just bad fan fiction.

It's hard to build proper hype and expectation when you're releasing new material every few months, and at least one new movie a year (counting side films like Solo). Think back to when we were kids, after the first few films were releases. The only other outlets we had were novels and a few bad tv specials. Now it's just none stop SW, between films, cartoons, games, the live park, etc......

Hype will return besides we are getting fresh everything hopefully interconnected universe im sorry not sorry i have faith in the brand stilll

I wouldn't mind a completely rewritten reboot of Episodes 7 - 9, where they ignore everything from these movies. And keep the Kennedy problem out, even if that thing already got fired.
