Yes exactly. There was so many mistakes and plot holes in the ST that often the real cause of many of the plot holes and lore damage was because of the way the story was all manipulated around this one character to constantly and redundantly demonstrate her power and how awesome she is. All the characters around her were belittled or reduced to characters that supported her characters story and not the larger plot story. In this last example one of the main reasons the emperor was brought back was to allow Rey to defeat him, right this time mind you because those losers Vader and Luke couldn’t do the job right. Seriously her characters is arguably the single biggest cause of the ST being what it is
