shareTLJ got a 85 in metacritic. That's a BIG score for a pop-corn movie. To compare, Jumanji, that same xmas, only got a 58. And the Joker, this year, it just got a 59.
Right now, the only pop-corn movie above that number would be "Little Feminists" , I mean, "Little Women", with a 91.
Further proof that those review sites aren't worth the bandwidth they take up.

I am not buying it; it seems they said the last thing about TLJ and look how that movie was. Also I almost rarely see the early reviews giving harsh criticism to any large budget blockbuster. There seems to be an unspoken rule that if a film is 'supposed' to make a lot of money then the early viewing critics do not judge as harshly or they risk losing the early review privileges.
Also some of the headlines and reviews i have read have been using very vague language and not actually calling it good. They are saying thinks like "epic" or "phenomenal". These words can be related to something being bad or good. Other words to watch out for are things like "solid", "satisfying", "interesting", "unexpected", or words of this nature. Usually this is an indication that the critic thought something was weak but does not want to put a negative word to it.

lol is that one a real quote? I say that sometimes in jest at some of the reviews I have read. that would be great if they actually said that
Not real, but I would love to see something like that. Something similar to that phrase came from a book I read as a kid and it struck me as funny, so I still remember it.
