It will never happen. Star Wars is certainly going to decline in popularity, but it will always be worth at least a little something to Disney. Worst case scenario is that they'd slow down or quit making movies (which is fine by me), but keep doing all sorts of other things with the property (toys, games, t-shirts, Disney Land rides). It's here to stay in one form or another.
