How many?

How much more will you endure before you aren't interested. I was done at Attack of the Clones.

reply

I'm good for a few more, I'm all for more escapist movies being made!

reply

That's fair. I'm surprised they're still at it. The same goes for transformers movies or super hero flicks.

reply

I suspect I'm not alone.

Because if Moviechat was your only source of information about "Star Wars" you'd get the impression they were unpopular or something. The fact is millions or tens of millions of people pay to see the things, so it seems that more people agree with me than the Disney-hating fanboys who tend to monopolize the conversation on these boards.

reply

To be fair...it's not just MC. it's the same at youtube...fan sites that don't restrict comments...even the media has realized there is a problem with the franchise. It's time to stop the name calling and face facts...Disney's star wars is not gaining traction with fans.

reply

tens of millions instead of hundreds of millions ... you see the issue here?

reply

I will probably always have basic level of interest in Star Wars but after TLJ, I decided not to spend any more money on it.

reply

That's it right there. Stop rewarding poor effort. It's the only message that gets across. The only way to change things. Vote with your wallet.

reply

I'll be done when the final season of Clone Wars comes out. But i'll never really be done. I'm sure every now and then they'll make a Star Wars project that tickles my fancy. I'm not a raging man baby. I expect 99 percent of everything to be shit. Your favorite band starts putting out crappy albums. McDonalds changes their fries. Shit happens. That's life.

reply

Fair point. It's like U2 Pop. They did a lot of great work, but album was hot garbage. They came back with all that you can't leave behind, and faltered again.

reply

I was done after "The Force Awakens". And judging by the reactions to the later movies, looks like I was right.

reply

Havent seen Solo, or Last Jedi...won't see Solo or Last Jedi!

reply

Considering The Force Awakens is as good as any film in the franchise, and Solo is up there as well, I'm eager to see what part 9 is all about. Part 8 was something of a let-down, but the return to a director with a proven track record bode well.

reply

You forgot to preface that with 'in my opinion'.

reply

Personally, my line was drawn up to, but not including, Last Jedi. I was disappointed with Force Awakens, and will not be watching the rest. I do not consider these new non-Lucas films canon. I'm willing to sort of accept Rogue One, though. But I can take it or leave it.
