If TLJ drops all his awesome plot points he set up in TFA?

Disney paid/threatened him

He doesn't really care as long as he is being well paid.

JJ is an Executive Producer of the trilogy. He had to approve the TLJ script.

He makes most of hi money based on profit, as an Ex. Producer. He may not even take directing and writing fees for 7 and 9, not sure.
