typical left wing movie

whenever i see a woman lead , my blood boils. the feminist ideology is putting weak gender in top spot.
in this movie also that skinny bitch is shown to be strong and other men are following around like a puppy.
and also the black guy is the good guy, of course.
i dont know why this left wingers ruin the movies for us.
no movie is safe with left wing ideology these days.

I don't have issues with female leads; I have issues with female leads who can do anything, and don't appear to need a man for anything, despite evidence to the contrary. I like them better when they work with the men in the story, and even find a love interest, rather than just talking down to them and treating them like they're troublesome kids who don't matter. It's one of many reasons I extended a middle finger to this dumpster fire of a film and refused to watch it.

exactly. It is not the gender that is the problem, it is that they made her an exaggerated wish fulfillment and godlike in terms of power and she got a bunch of unearned respect and reverence from other characters. You can maybe make an argument that there was a feminist agenda that 'inspired' such bad writing but the actual result has nothing to do with the character's gender. Rey would be just as a shitty character if she was male. In fact the character is so not personalized you can fairly easily gender swap the character and not much in the film would change. That is how little her gender mattered, but it is easy to gender swap a character that has no distinct personality.

I just hate seeing posts like this OP, because it is clearly underpinned with sexist and racist subtext; which makes it seem like the type of fictional strawman that the Rey defenders want to imagine all Rey critics are. That actual hurts our argument.

My suspicion is the OP is actually a Rey defender who created a pretend account so they could make the argument that they wished the Rey critics made. At least that is what I hope it is, otherwise I have to relent and say there is actually some Rey critics that are racist and sexist; which I have contested up until now was not the case.

Agreed, they need to make more realistic movies! Like all main characters are white males, the black guy is a stupid villain, and the women are only there for sex and sandwiches.

It's a big gay and PC brainwashing agenda, straight from the elites who fund and support it.

Expect more needless (to the plot) gay film scenes. Former CIA career officer of 20yrs explains -

What a stupid post. There is no problem with female leads or female action leads; see Sarah Connor, Ripley, Selene, etc so many great female leads. That is not the problem with the Star Wars sequels (you can make an argument there is some anti-capitalist pro-nihilism garbage messaging in TLJ but that is it).

The criticism of Rey and the negative impact the character had on the story has nothing to do with her gender; one of the problems of the character is her gender is almost irrelevant. You could easily gender swap Kylo and Rey and have almost the same exact film; that is a problem because neither character is really personalized.

Also, is the black guy supposed to the bad guy just because he is black? Did you have a problem with Lando? Are you both sexist and Racist? Is this a troll post, are you trying to be like the fictional strawman that Rey defenders imagine?

Get out of here with your sexist racist garbage; it hurts the actual Real arguments about why Rey is a shit character and the Sequel trilogy as a whole was hot garbage.
