Unnpopular Opinion: Finn is my Favorite of This Trilogy Not The Overrated Kylo Ren

A) Did what Cody could never due in ROTS

B) is as Compelling As Captain Rex

C) Loved his Dynamic with Poe and Rey happy to see to come together in TROS on parr with The Rey and Kylo Dynamic

D) Had Great Hero Moment against his Superior against Phasma

E) is Force-Sensitive and rose from being a Mook to a High Ranking General with The Resistance

E) Had Great Hero Moment against his Superior against Phasma

F) Played Brilliantly by John Boyega

Finn is my 3rd Favorite Character Overall Behind Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi

Finn was a great character; I loved his cowardice. It gave him a chance for a really great arc becoming a hero and learning to be brave.

All things considered, yes Finn is probably the best character of the ST. It is just a shame that a lot of the additional recognition he could have got was overlooked because of the comedic buffoonery they had him doing, often times to try to 'show off' the inferior character Rey.

Finn is still the best character despite that, but he had a lot more potential that went unfulfilled. Also yes, John Boyega was probably the best actor on that set.

Not my 3rd favorite of the whole Series though; Han Solo, Darth Vader, Emperor, Admiral Piatt, Lando Calrissian, Leia, Chewbacca, and even R2-D2 are better characters than Finn. Finn had potential to be better than all of them, but it went unfulfilled.

I was expecting Finn and Poe to French kiss at the end. I was certain of it when they were staring at each brokeback style.

My favorite was red uniformed Snoke henchman #6. That guy was the bomb!

Terrible character only in the films for tokenism and comedic reference.

The sad part is a trooper defecting from the Empire should have actually been a very enticing story element ... but that would have detracted from Mary Sue (who friend-zoned him lol).

Finn had potential to be the best & most original character "on paper" but Jar Jar Abrams went out of his way to reduce him to being a lame token comedic sidekick/red herring for the "real" hero of the story. The character like the entire putrid trilogy was screwed from the jump.
