Yes and in it we see a LOT of TIE Fighters, which makes me wonder--did Disney forget there were TIE Bombers, Interceptors, Defenders as well? I mean, the First Order wouldn't hesitate to make use of the most advanced Imperial craft, right?

Looks similar to ESB to me.

Yeah, the poster has AT-AT walkers (or the First Order equivalent) at the bottom of it, with Resistance troops on the run. Very ESB feel to it. It'll be a very dark movie. Our heroes/heroine will be captured.

*spoils*
It appears Snokes is having some force fun with Rey towards the end of the trailer.

reply

Maybe they will throw in a Wampa somewhere as an easter egg.

It does seem that the Empire has technologically slipped backwards which makes no sense. 20 or more years of continued warfare should have seen them advance some of their craft and weaponry. This would make as much sense as the Allies in WWII deciding to go back to bi-planes and balloons.

Looks like a horror film.

reply

Haha, yup. They sure love that red color theme, something pretty exclusive to Star Wars previously in the Imperial Royal Guards of the Classic Trilogy era.

After the disgrace that was TFA, is there hope for this film after all?

I think we were on the money when we said that rey was the 'new hottness' as far as force users go in the galaxy - 'SHE' is far superior to 'peski jedi' ... 'SHE' is the *real* deal.

She is the real chosen one, yay!!!!

reply

Jesus. The amount of losers who are jumping on TLJ trailer release to express their butthurt about TFA all over again.

"I'm not excited about the trailer because TFA....wah, wah wah. "

Just find and oven to shove your head in and be done with it.

reply

LOL, agreed!
