ZERO REWATCHABILITY. ZERO.

"I think I will rewatch The Last Jedi" said no one ever.
I have watched originals countless times and enjoy revisiting prequels but find no joy in Disney Star Wars at all.

I disagree.

Original Trilogy are all incredibly rewatchable.

Prequel Trilogy: They all have moments that are rewatchable, but lots of very bad spots. Attack of the Clones has probably aged the worst of the 3, but it still has some parts that are great. Revenge of the Sith is the most rewatchable of the 3, but even that has some scenes that can be skipped.

TFA: For all of its flaws, its actually very rewatchable. There's very many lulls in the action the story does move along, and there's always a good part coming up.

Rogue 1: Loved it when I walked out of the theater, but after rewatching it at home, not as great. Long stretches were nothing really happens, Vader's massacre worked so much more in the theater, and after you see Leia a few times, you start seeing the flaws the special effects.

TLJ: Rewatched it recently, thinking maybe giving it some time and it would age well, kind of like ESB, and getting away from all the internet bashing of it. But no, just as bad as I remembered, if not worse.

Solo: Didn't live up to expectations at the box office, but I think in time people will start to appreciate this movie more. I think people were still bitter about TLJ, and with this one coming out in May instead of December there was just Star Wars fatigue. After seeing it twice in theaters, and then getting the DVD, I still enjoy it, and I think eventually as more and more fans give it another watch, they will see that its aged well and its better than they remember.

I stopped watching after Revenge of the Sith. I only saw that because my friends figuratively dragged me to the movie.

The original trilogy was good enough. Fans didn't realize how the lack of sequels was what kept our appreciation of Star Wars in such high regard. Now, its just another series being milked. Its not special and That's okay. Its time to move on.

I think this is mostly true. At least for many outside of the ones that actually liked this film and what and where it has taken the saga and done to the existing canon.

I saw this one time and that is all I'll ever see it. Hell, I've seen The Force Awakens, at least partially, several times on TV and on Netflix. TLJ has been sitting on Netflix for a long time....so has Solo. I have no desire to ever see it again.

I still will watch the original trilogy sometimes when it is on TV. I didn't love the prequels but I'll watch the Darth Maul vs. Jedi duel from the Phantom Menace and I'll watch The Revenge of the Sith from time to time. I don't watch Attack of the Clones, I thought that was awful. (I thought it was bad but it didn't destroy canon or contradict itself or the other films....it was just a bad film, it didn't ruin any characters and change the saga in any way).

I can't imagine myself ever seeing TLJ again.

Well I've seen it one time and I have no plans to see it again.

I just saw The Avengers Endgame this weekend and I'm already primed to see it again.

It is just mind boggling to compare the two, how well The Avengers were done, how well the characters were cast, thought out, written, how well their arcs build and how well the different stories all line up with each other and intersect and how well the stories are written.

Then you look at Star Wars and see how discombobulated, how hectic, senseless, and all over the place the characters are written, story lines are set up and then dropped, they don't mesh with the other films in the saga, there is not arc or plan, it is like story "mad libs" between each director to where the entire, overall 3 film saga makes little sense.

Star Wars has been really badly managed, planned and organized.

They don't seem to know what they are doing when you compare it to what is going on with Marvel.....Civil War, Infinity Wars, Endgame. I mean they hit it out of the park with all three.

I grew up a Star Wars fan, this buzz, hype, success that is going on with The Avengers and the climactic last film is what "should" be going on with Star Wars.

It isn't though. There is very little buzz or interest heading into the third act.
They should have had the crew running Marvel do Star Wars too.....those in charge of Star Wars are AWFUL! They don't know what they are doing and it is a train wreck.

One should keep in mind that Winter Soldier, Civil War, Infinity War, and Endgame had the same directors and writers. The writing team had also previously written Captain America: First Avenger as well as Thor: Dark World so there's a very cohesive story flow when it comes to the infinity stones. Additionally, James Gunn wrote and directed the first two Guardians of the Galaxy movies and served as producer for Infinity War and Endgame, not only because he was the one who set up Thanos but also because he played around with the Infinity Stones as well. Because of this, he let the writers know what he wanted the Guardians to do so they could set up GOTG 3 for him. Kevin Feige makes sure everyone is on the same page and working across multiple movies.

I deeply regret watching it the first time.

I have no plans to ever repeat that mistake.

Watching TLJ is like taking a shit. You do it to get it out of your system, then you flush it and forget about it.
